I did notice that the Vivoactive 3 will, when you are working out, show completely different heart rates (I ran for 50 minutes, my HR was 130-140 and the watch was showing 40-60). As a result it is severely underestimating calorie burn as well (50 minute run = 79 calories burned).
I understood the modern golf watches actually do a lot of tracking like the vivoactive, so I will be thinking on that range whenever this one needs replacement. They were a bit more expensive in the past with less options, but the new range had ANT connectivity and sports activities as well (still much more expensive, but probably a better golf Former Member over 5 years ago +2. Vivoactive 3 wrist band skin irritation. I got the Vivoactive 3 for my two teenagers few months ago and both of them got allergic reactions with a rash in their wrists. My son’s rash faded over time however my daughter’s rash got worst to the point she’s not using the watch. I see that a previous discussion thread about this same topic
Changing the Garmin golf app to use yards changes the whole Vivoactive 3 device to use miles and yards for all activities. So it seems that you have deprecated the ‘Golf Distance Units’ option in Connect, but changing this in the Garmin Golf app doesn’t change the Vivoactive settings in the same way. I bought the Vivoactive 3 from Amazon India and today I have returned it. I am a Garmin user for 3 years ( Vivosmart HR, Vivosmart HR+ and Vivoactive HR ). On second day the after syncing with Garmin express and a full recharge, closed Garmin express and dismounted the USB device and removed the watch from charging cable. That is it.
This has just happened to me. I have tried restarting and plugging into the mains but have has no response. It is really frustrating as I have only had the watch for 5 days.
