You can open the control panel of the more powerful video card (Nvidia Settings or AMD Control Center) and explicitly request its use for Euro Truck Simulator 2 (in "Manage 3D Settings"). Graphics settings do not save. It's annoying as ♥♥♥♥, my graphics settings never save, after i restart i need to change them again, all the other settings don't have that problem, no matter what i do it just doesn't work, i tried turning steam cloud saves off and on, verifying files integrity it just doesn't work, im annoyed AF. Showing
This didn't work for me but I figured it out. In case anyone else comes across this thread looking for help installing promods on steam deck I had to move the promods files to home>.local>share>ATS (or ETS2)>mod (if mod doesn't exist which it likely doesn't you'll have to create the mod folder).
