Combat-wise you're better off comparing it to the recent Batman games - it uses exactly the same combat system with abilities tweaked to better fit the setting. Stealth-wise it's kind of a mixed bag. Sneaking around is about the same difficulty at the core, but is a touch trickier since there isn't as much stuff to hide in/behind/on top of.

Brutal difficulty is everything I wanted out of Shadow of War. The game is now truly challenging without crossing the boundary into unfair territory. You are deadly, but so are your enemies. Clever fighting is very rewarding, but on the other hand, not being careful is severely punished. Probably the best new difficulty since Fallout 4's Love both Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War. No. Nemesis System is optimized for nemesis difficulty. Mainly because how traits work, and enemies won't gain absurd amounts of levels by killing you. Brutal is better if you're already Lv80 or something. Brutal is basically gravewalker but a little more balanced between talion and the orcs especially by late game.

Scenario 3, where you send a death threat to Bill the Savage before doing his vendetta mission. Pretty sure that just replaces the vendetta mission with a death-threat mission. Loot is generated based on their level so you'd get the same from both. However when an Orc kills you there is a chance that they could become legendary and drop that gear.
Are you playing Shadow of Mordor or Shadow of War? I ask because you mentioned epic runes, and I'm pretty sure those are just in Mordor, not War. In answer to your question, though, yes you should absolutely use those runes in Mordor. They are amazing. The one that causes your focus to drain at half speed and the poison immunity ones are the best.
Each orc took a little longer to die. Shadow of Mordor was much slower paced, while Shadow of War is actually trying to, uh, challenge you. You're also misremembering, because Talion has always had quite the leaping distance, especially when he gets further into his combos. The animation fits fine. Ct6GF.
